RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAwire CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAwire - APAwire CLIENTS ONLY, Gaza , 21 August 2023. Palestinian players of short stature attend the Football training at Saad Sayel Stadium in Gaza city 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Haitham Al-Sakka 0.2 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Alaa Meqdad STORYLINE: Haitham Al-Sakka, one of the players in the short-stature team, says that the idea of forming the team came after its implementation in the camps in Lebanon. They were recognized by FIFA and the International Sports Committee, and they represented Palestine in many tournaments. He added, after the success of the Palestinian team in Lebanon, contact was made with a number of short stature in the Gaza Strip to form a football team, so that the national team would be from inside and outside Palestine. Short stature is defined as a condition in which an individual's height is in the 3rd percentile for the mean height of a given age, sex, and population group. It can be assessed through various anthropometric instruments. Short stature can be caused by hormonal, genetic, and developmental pathology. Footage by / APAwire
