STORYLINE: The Jerusalem municipality of the Israeli authorities forced the Obeidi family to demolish seven homes in the town of Beit Hanina in Jerusalem, under the pretext of non-licensing. The Obeidi family started building their homes 15 years ago and 5 years ago they received a building violation and had to pay tens of thousands of shekels to avoid demolition and as a building violation. A few days ago, the family received an administrative decision to demolish the seven homes, giving them the choice of either self-demolition or demolishing by the Israeli authorities, which may cost more than 200,000 shekels.
