Western MD's Podnos 82mm mortars inflict fire defeat on AFU troops in Kupyansk direction STORYLINE: The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue launching fire strikes at the military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) within the special military operation. The intelligence of the Zapad Group of Forces received data on the build-up of AFU forces in Kupyansk direction. The enemy was detected by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). In this case, servicemen use the Podnos 82mm automatic mortar as a mean of destroying and suppressing enemy manpower and firepower. Due to its size and weight, the Podnos mortar can be transported unassembled by a crew of four soldiers. The maximum range of all available 82 mm calibre mines is 6 km. It only takes a few minutes for the crew to bring the mortar into an action. High accuracy in hitting targets is achieved through fire adjustment by UAV units. Footage by / APAwire
