STORYLINE: Some types of fruits in the vegetable and fruit stores in Jenin are still witnessing a significant increase in prices during the current and previous period. A group of traders and owners of vegetable and fruit stores explained that the reasons for the high prices are due to the demand process and the scarcity of varieties in the markets. Where the price of a kilo of imported apples became $3, equivalent to 10 shekels, which is more than the normal rate, twice the increase in demand in light of the low supply that led to its rise before the Eid period and until now. Some traders assert that prices are related to supply, but some types of vegetables and fruits face small quantities offered in the local market, which leads to higher prices.
