Ahmed lives with the suffering of his injuries, the loss of his sight, and the loss of his son, hoping to receive treatment and regain at least some of his vision so he can see his other children and support his family. According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, the number of injuries sustained during the war on the Gaza Strip exceeded 171,000, with approximately 11% of these being eye injuries, amounting to nearly 17,000 cases.
