Restrictions Summary: APA wire clients only Shortlist: APAwire - APA wire clients only, Gaza- May 8, 2026. Palestinians, including participants who lost limbs during Israeli attacks, take part in a marathon held under the slogan “Run for Freedom” in Gaza City on May 8, 2026. Organized by the Palestinian Youth and Sports Council in coordination with the Egyptian Committee, the race started in the al-Zahra area and ended in the Sheikh Ajlin neighborhood, bringing together participants from different age groups as part of ongoing efforts to revive sports and social activities in the Gaza Strip despite the continuing humanitarian crisis and widespread destruction. The marathon provided residents with an opportunity to relieve psychological and physical stress caused by the conflict while expressing resilience and determination to preserve community life. 01.
