As the war reaches its 1,000th day, the Civil Defense says hundreds of bodies remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings across the Gaza Strip. It says shortages of heavy equipment and ongoing safety risks continue to hamper recovery operations after most of its facilities and vehicles were damaged during the war.
