Palestinians carry the body of Abdullah Qalalweh, who was reportedly shot dead by Israeli police near the Huwara checkpoint, during his funeral in the West Bank city of Jenin 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) The mother of Abdullah Qalalweh 0.2 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) A leader in the Islamic Jihad, Mahdi al-Sharqawi STORYLINE: A 25-year-old Palestinian young man was shot and killed on Friday evening by Israeli forces at Huwwara military checkpoint, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to medical sources. Ahmad Jibril, a spokesman for the Palestinian Red Crescent, said Abdullah Sami Qalalweh, a resident of the village of Al-Judeida in the Jenin province, died a few minutes after being critically injured by Israeli soldiers at the checkpoint. Qalalweh’s death brings up the death toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since the beginning of the year to 36, including 8 children and an elderly woman. Footage by /APA
