Central MD's artillerymen engage AFU installations within special military operation STORYLINE: Artillery crews from the Central Military District (CMD) have jointly destroyed targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in combat missions in the area of the special military operation. The 152 mm Msta-S self-propelled howitzers and Msta-B towed howitzers struck enemy manpower and equipment as well as nationalists’ strongholds camouflaged in a dense wooded area. The shelling was carried out from closed and open firing positions using high-explosive fragmentation shells at a range of more than 20 km. Counter-battery warfare was given special emphasis, during which self-propelled howitzers drove out onto open territory and fired a series of shots at enemy military installations, compelling them to return fire. The fighting vehicles quickly altered positions, and the towed howitzers struck at Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery units that had started fire from concealed positions. Footage by /APA
