Osa-AKM floating anti-aircraft missile systems successfully fight against unmanned aerial vehicles. STORYLINE: In the special military operation, the Osa-AKM floating anti-aircraft missile systems of the Central Military District (CMD) have successfully countered hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The radar and missile armament of the Osa-AKM can easily detect and destroy small airborne objects. One anti-aircraft missile system ammunition is enough for six targets. After it is spent, the crews is removed from combat duty and goes to recharge in the area of ammunition supply. Since the first day of the special military operation, Osa teams have conducted more than 200 successful launches, providing air cover for ground forces, saving the lives of troops and the combat readiness of motorised rifle and artillery units.
