STORYLINE: Very cold conditions are expected today in Palestine as a low-pressure polar front is expected to hit the country bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms, starting in the north and spreading to the rest of the country, and snow accumulating first on mountains 800 meters above sea level and then later at night on mountainous areas 700 meters above sea level, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD). Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 7°C and a low of 1°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 6°C and a low of 0°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 8°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 12°C and a low of 7°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
