Palestinian artist Mohammed Totah with amputated leg paints on the sand sculpture "2022" at the beach of Gaza city, ahead of New Year. STORYLINE: At least 256 Palestinians including 66 children were killed due to Israel’s military campaign as tens of thousands were displaced to other regions. More than 1,900 Palestinians were injured. 13 Israelis killed and 200 Israelis were injured. A new report by the independent monitoring group Airwars found that the 2021 conflict between Israel and Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip killed up to 192 Palestinian civilians and injured hundreds more over 11 days of intense fighting. Of the total number of civilian deaths, roughly one-third were children, most of whom died in attacks that killed or wounded multiple members of the same family. Footage by/APAwire
