RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAwire CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAwire - APAwire CLIENTS ONLY, Ramallah - 24 November 2021. Palestinians take part in a protest in solidarity with prisoners on hunger strike at Israeli jails, in the West Bank city of Ramallah. 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Issam Bakr, the coordinator of the national and Islamic forces in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate. 0.2 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Sati Al-Ashqar, father of the prisoner Louay Al-Ashqar STORYLINE: Two administrative detainees remain on hunger strike including Hisham Abu Hawwash, who has been fasting for 100, and Loai Ashqar, who has been fasting for 45 days, awaiting a deal that would also secure their eventual release. Israel’s widely condemned policy of administrative detention allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals usually ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.
