Palestinian supporters of the Al-ahrar Movement, take part in a protest in solidarity with prisoners on hunger strike at Israeli jails. 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) The leader of Al-Ahrar movement, Khaled Abu Hilal STORYLINE: Thousands of Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons have decided to reject the lunch and dinner meals today, in a token of support for six fellow prisoners who have been on hunger strike in protest of their indefinite detention without charge or trial, the Palestinian Authority’s Detainees Affairs Commission has said. Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents. These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank.
