Palestinian volunteers prepare rice and meats for distribution to the poor inside "Nablus Takiya" which was founded in 2012 AD, and provides food for over than 1600 families daily during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan in the West Bank city of Nablus on May 21, 2018. Ramadan is sacred to Muslims because it is during that month that tradition says the Koran was revealed to the Prophet Mohammed. The fast is one of the five main religious obligations under Islam. Muslims around the world will mark the month, during which believers abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and having sex from dawn until sunset. Photo by Shadi Jarar'ah
