Palestinian activists from the Popular Front of the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) demonstrate at the Hawara checkpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus on July 29, 2016, against the detention of Bilal Kayed, a fellow PFLP member by Israeli authorities. Kayed who was due to be released after serving a 14-and-a-half-year sentence for activities in the (PFLP) began a hunger strike in June 2016, to protest his internment under Israel's administrative detention law, which allows the country to hold prisoners without trial for renewable six-month periods.
