A Palestinian man rides a camel at the "Camp of Return" set up on May 14, 2011 in the southern Gaza Strip refugee camp of Rafah, where Palestinians are marking the 63rd anniversary of the 1948 creation of Israel in British-mandate Palestine, an event known to Arabs as the "nakba" or "catastrophe" due to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who either fled or were driven out of their homes.
