Palestinian youths lay paper ships at Al-Manarah square in the West Bank town of Ramallah, on 31 May 2010. Abbas condemned the long-anticipated Israeli takeover of six ships carrying humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip that turned bloody and violent early 31 May, with at least 10 foreign activists confirmed killed and dozens injured. Seven Israeli soldiers were also injured, one seriously and one critically. Other unconfirmed reports said as many as 16 activists were killed. Some 50 people are reported injured. Sixteen of them were evacuated to Israeli hospitals, with varying degrees of injuries. photo by Eyad Jadallah
