Shubair lost both legs in Israeli airstrikes during the war on the Gaza Strip in 2025. Despite the destruction of sports clubs and training facilities, he continues to rebuild his physical strength by collecting sports equipment and hopes to represent Palestine in international sporting events and competitions.
