The outpost was established on land classified as Area A under the Oslo Accords. Residents say the settlers later returned and expanded the outpost over a wider area of Palestinian-owned land, restricting residents from reaching their property and carrying out attacks against local residents and shepherds. One Palestinian was injured and taken to hospital after being severely beaten by settlers, according to the information provided. Residents say Israeli army protection for the settlers has prevented Palestinians from reaching the outpost or accessing land taken over by settlers, despite the area being classified as Area A. They also say thousands of dunams of land belonging to Yasid, northeast of Nablus, and Jaba, south of Jenin, are now under settler control. Local residents are calling for official and community efforts to strengthen their presence in the area by providing electricity to communities near the outpost, opening roads leading to their land and supporting affected farmers in rehabilitating damaged farmland and restoring access to it.
