Palestinians are building a mud house in Khan Younis, using rudimentary tools and methods to try to provide themselves with safe shelter from the winter cold. This is due to the severe shortage of building materials resulting from the blockade and the closure of crossings. This act is a desperate measure to secure basic shelter for Palestinian families, at a time when harsh living conditions are forcing Gaza residents to resort to primitive means to meet their basic needs.
