The media spokesman for Hamas, Abd al-Latif al-Qanou speaks during an interview with APA agency in Gaza city. STORYLINE: Thousands of Israeli forces were deployed this morning in and around East Jerusalem and its old city to secure the annual provocative flags march, which settlement associations intend to organize today marking, according to the Hebrew calendar, the occupation of the holy city in June 1967. Extremist and right-wing cabinet ministers and members of parliament from the government coalition, led by the fascist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, intend to participate in the march, which is expected to start in the early afternoon. Meanwhile, and in defiance of the provocative flags march, Palestinians have called for hoisting the Palestinian flag everywhere in Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories and to hold flags rallies in the West Bank cities in the afternoon.
