Airborne platoon thwarts enemy offensive under excellent command of officer codenamed Zamir in defending Artyomovsk flanks STORYLINE: Airborne platoon commander codenamed Zamir volunteered to fight in the special military operation with three of his friends. Each one of them is a combat veteran. The man has seen war before, when he participated in counter-terrorism operation in the North Caucasus. In 2014, he joined the fight in Donbass, where he stood against Ukrainian nationalists. During his time as a civilian, Zamir cultivated patriotic ideals into future generations. Since day one in the special military operation zone, he proved himself to be an excellent commander and a capable leader. Tula-based Airborne Troops large unit’s command assigned Zamir as a commander of an airborne platoon and raised him to junior lieutenant. As a platoon commander, when defending the Artyomovsk flank,s he dispersed his subordinates, established firing and observation posts on the defence line, so the enemy could not approach Russian positions. Zamir exploited terrain to camouflage positions and conceal the unit’s movement. The platoon commander dispersed unit’s firepower and attached weaponry on likely lines of enemy approach and didn’t let the enemy break through. During Armed Forces of Ukraine attack on Zamir’s platoon positions, Ukrainian units deployed canon artillery, MLRSs and tanks against the paratroopers. The junior lieutenant excellently managed his unit during AFU attack, thwarting enemy offensive. Zamir’s excellent command, as well as courage and professionalism of his subordinates, allowed to thwart enemy attempt to outflank adjacent airborne units, thus saving comrades’ lives and undermining nationalists’ offensive.
