In South Donetsk direction, Eastern MD's assault detachments perform tasks in the special military operation zone STORYLINE: In Ugledar area, assault detachemtns from Far Eastern regions are repelling the attacks launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Combat actions take place in settlements and woodlands. Machine gun fire can be heard day and night in the South Donetsk direction. Large-calibre artillery pieces fire to suppress Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line, while from the first line of defence they put pressure on the attackers’ psyche. The machine gunners of the Vostok Group of Forces fire from closed positions at the enemy's positions, diverting their attention during the regrouping of assault groups. It is several kilometres to the line of contact, and here the tactical group reserves are covering the ones who have already gone into battle. Strategic reserve fighters are on duty a few kilometres from the front line - they will go into battle if the main forces are not enough to repel a Ukrainian attack. The Vostok Group's assault detachments are repelling Armed Forces of Ukraine attacks in Zaporozhye and South Donetsk directions - and in the past 24 hours alone have thwarted several attempts to break through the Russian defence.
