The Israeli authorities released the prisoner, Ramzi Abu Rida, after spending 15 years in Israeli prisons.

Under international law, confessions given under torture do not count as evidence. In legal terms, the absolute prohibition on torture and other ill-treatment are “non-derogable” – that means it cannot be relaxed even in times of emergency. according to amnesty international.
