STORYLINE: The Iwan Center for Cultural Heritage at the Islamic University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Municipality of Abasan Al-Kabira, launches a project to restore the floor of the Byzantine church mosaic on the town’s land, which dates back to the year (606AD), ​​as it contains drawings of birds, plant leaves, inscriptions, and decorations. The work on the project started with cleaning the perimeter of the mosaic floor, while the construction of the mud wall surrounding the floor continues. This project is funded by the Dutch Foundation, the Prince Claus Fund. The first phase was completed through the process of restoring the floor, knowing that work on the project will be completed by the end of next January 2022. Footage by APAwire
