Matar, who comes from the village of Deir Abu Mesh'al in the West Bank, was shot dead by the Israeli army near his hometown together with another two Palestinians in August 2020. His body has been withheld by the Israeli army ever since. Dozens of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces are still withheld in Israeli mortuaries despite calls by human rights groups on Israel to release them. Footage by/APAwire
