RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAwire CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAwire - APAwire CLIENTS ONLY, Hebron - 29 November 2021. Palestinians take part in a protest in solidarity with prisoners on hunger strike at Israeli jails, in the West Bank city of Hebron. 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Baraa Ballout, Brother of the prisoner, Nidal Ballout. 0.2 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) BAmjad Al-Najjar, spokesman for the Palestinian Prisoners Club. STORYLINE: Two Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention currently remain on hunger strike in protest of their unfair and indefinite administrative detention without a charge or trial, according to the Detainees Affairs Commission. The oldest hunger-striker of the four prisoners is Hesham Abu Hawwash who has been on hunger strike for 105 days, followed by Nedal Ballout, on hunger strike for 31 days respectively. Israel’s widely condemned policy of administrative detention allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals usually ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.
