RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAwire CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAwire - APAwire CLIENTS ONLY, Nablus - 17 November 2021. Palestinian students from An-Najah University participate in an event in solidarity with the prisoners on hunger strike at Israeli Jails, in the West Bank city of Nablus. 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Musab Halaysheh, a student. STORYLINE: The Israeli high court rejected today an appeal submitted by the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission for the immediate release of Palestinian administrative detainee Kayed Fasfous, who is facing the risk of sudden death after 126 days of hunger strike, said the commission in a statement. The Israeli high court rejected and for the fourth time a petition submitted for the release of Fasfous, amid a state of indifference and deliberate criminal disregard for his life by the Israeli authorities, said the ministry. Fasfous, 34, from the southern West Bank town of Dura, has been on an open-ended hunger strike to demand an end of his indefinite administrative detention without charge or trial by the Israeli authorities. On Saturday, doctors at the Israeli Barzilai Medical Center, where Fasfous is being treated, told his family that their son was nearing sudden death after 123 days of hunger strike. Fasfous is experiencing an intermittent loss of consciousness, irregular heartbeats, tingling in the chest, a decrease in blood pressure, kidney and heart problems, a shortage of fluids in his body, and recurring pains and aches across his body, which makes him vulnerable to a severe relapse. Classes were disrupted as a result. Yesterday, Israeli soldiers attacked the girl students near the school located on the main Ramallah-Nablus road, firing teargas in their direction and causing a large number of suffocation cases estimated at over 70.
