Residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood confirmed their attachment to their homes and lands, refusing to leave them, stressing that the decisions to evacuate them from their homes that were issued in the past months are illegal, as they are the owners of the land.

The residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood demanded from the Jordanian government to provide documents and papers related to the 1956 agreement between the Jordanian government and UNRWA, which stipulated providing housing for 28 refugee families in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in exchange for the families giving up their relief card. A symbolic fee, provided that the property will be delegated for housing after 3 years, but this has not been done.
