STORYLINE

The Palestinian government decided to re-apply the partial closure in the West Bank, with the continued suspension of schools, with the exception of high school students, until April 3 to confront the spread of the Corona virus. The government spokesman said in a statement that it has also been decided that "the closure will continue on Friday and Saturday of every week, except for pharmacies and bakeries."

Of course there are way more than three markets in the Old City of Jerusalem but when you hear about the “Three Markets” it is specifically referring to three roofed alleys that run parallel to each other, over the Cardo inside the Muslim Quarter.
