STORYLINE
Christian Islamic Organization to support Jerusalem and the sanctities demanded UN and international organizations and bodies, Arab League to exert pressure on Israel to stop its demolishing process in Sheikh Jarrah Palestinian neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
General Secretary of the Islamic Christian Organization Hanna Issa warned in a statement of Israeli demolishing plans that would displace more than 500 Palestinians in favor of settlers and settlement societies.
He noted that this Israeli move is part of its plans that targeted occupied Jerusalem with demolitions, excavations, evacuations and taxation operations, in a continuous Israeli effort for years to uproot the Palestinian presence in the holy city.
Issa stressed that the demolition of the homes and properties of Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, by Israeli occupation authorities, and the negative consequences thereof, is a flagrant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law."
