Palestinian students take their electronic General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) at a café in al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on June 20, 2026. Students across the Gaza Strip have turned to cafés and other spaces with internet access to sit their exams online after most schools were destroyed during the war, while many have been deprived of regular classroom education for a third consecutive year. The Tawjihi examinations began on Saturday, with 51,499 students in the West Bank, 37,698 in the Gaza Strip, and 1,941 Gaza students currently outside Palestine registered to take the exams..
