Palestinian Muslim and Christian children take part in a reading exhibition inside the Holy Family Catholic Church in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City on May 11, 2026, following months of education and psychological support sessions, during which teachers adopted active learning methods through colors, games and singing. The church, which was damaged during the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip following the Hamas attack on Israel in October 2023, reopened its doors to Palestinian children from different communities after a US-brokered ceasefire came into effect in October 2025.
