An elderly Palestinian man, 74, Mohammed Abu Al-Kas inspects graves of his relatives in a cemetery in the Shejaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, after dozens of graves were destroyed during the latest Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip last month, on June 8, 2021. During the recent military escalation, Israeli warplanes bombed six cemeteries in separate areas of the Gaza Strip. Israeli air strikes and artillery fire on Gaza killed 257 Palestinians, including 66 children, and wounded more than 1,900 people in 11 days of conflict from May 10, the health ministry in Gaza said.
