Palestinian school students shout slogans and hold placards in a protest against the US move to freeze funding for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees on March 7, 2018 at the al-Nusairat refugee camp, in central Gaza Strip. On January 16, Washington held back $65 million that had been earmarked for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), but the State Department denied the freeze was to punish the Palestinian leadership, which has cut ties with President Donald Trump's administration following his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital last year, with a spokeswoman saying it was linked to necessary "reform" of UNRWA.
