Members of the Interior Ministry in Gaza offer a certificate to Jihad and Tahany Shaath marking the birth of their son Waleed who is the two millionth baby to be born in Gaza at their house in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah on October 12, 2016. The two millionth person has been born in Gaza, with the birth Waleed officially recognised as reaching the milestone in the densely populated Palestinian territory. Gaza, a tiny enclave squeezed between Egypt, Israel and the Mediterranean Sea and just 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) across at its widest point, has one of the highest population densities in the world, according to the United Nations.
