Israeli security forces gather around the body of a Palestinian man who tried to stab Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint near Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, on February 26, 2016. The Israeli army "thwarted the attack, firing towards the assailant, resulting in his death," it said in a statement. The Palestinian authorities did not immediately announce the identity of the attacker. Israeli media said the attack took place near the Beit El settlement outside Ramallah. Photo by Shadi Hatem
