A handout picture dated February 26, 2014 and released by Hamas Press Office on August 21, 2014, shows the senior Hamas commander, Raed al-Atar (R), with the top Hamas official in Gaza Ismail Haniya (L) in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah. Three senior Hamas commanders, including al-Atar, were among at least 15 Palestinians killed in Gaza early on August 21, as Israel stepped up air strikes on day 45 of the bloody conflict. The Brigades, the military wing of Hamas which holds de facto power in Gaza, identified the three as Mohammed Abu Shamala, Raed al-Atar and Mohammed Barhum. APAIMAGES / HO / HAMAS PRESS OFFICE
