Palestinian protesters take position during clashes with Israeli security forces outside Ofer prison near the West Bank city of Ramallah on April 3, 2013 following a protest against the death of a Palestinian prisoner while in detention. Maisara Abu Hamdiyeh, who had served 10 years of a life sentence for attempted murder, died in an Israeli hospital two months after being diagnosed with throat cancer. The Palestinian leadership has accused Israel of medical negligence with news of his death sparking angry clashes.
