An Israeli security officer walks opposite Palestinian protesters during clashes next to the Israeli military prison 'Ofer' in Beitunya, south of the West Bank city of Ramallah, on February 24, 2013 following the death of a Palestinian prisoner held in Israel. Some 3,000 Palestinians held in Israeli jails were staging a one-day hunger strike in protest at the death of the inmate Arafat Jaradat, an official said, as security forces clashed with demonstrators in the West Bank.
