Israeli soldiers shoot at Palestinian protesters in the West Bank city of Hebron, 18 November 2012. Palestinians from the West Bank show their solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip facing air strikes and the possibility of Israeli troops entering the Gaza Strip as Operation Pillar Cloud continues and broadens. Reports state that the Israeli military is prepared to significantly widen operations against Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his cabinet 18 November 2012. He said Israel's Operation Pillar of Defence had caused 'significant damage' to the missile arsenal that Palestinian militant groups were aiming at Israel, and had extracted a 'heavy price' from Hamas and other armed organizations.
