Jamela Al-Habash, a 17-year-old Palestinian girl who lost her legs, sits on her bed with her artificial limbs ready to be put on before leaving her family's home in the Jabaliya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, 03 May 2012. Al-Habash lost both of her legs when an Israeli tank shell hit her family's home during the military conflict between Israel and Hamas that took place in the Gaza Strip during the winter month of 2008-2009. The exploding shell also killed her nine year old sister. Fully supported by her family - especially her two brothers Mo'mem and Mohammed, with whom she spends most of her time - Jamela currently is studying at a local high school and dreams of completing her studies at an university somewhere to once become a journalist.
