Palestinians search a destroyed runway to collect gravels at the damaged airport in Rafah, southern of Gaza Strip, August 25, 2010. Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip was imposed after the militant Hamas group seized power in the territory three years ago. Cement and other building materials are rarely allowed by Israel to enter Gaza, and Israel says the blockade is meant to keep weapons out of Gaza and to put pressure on its Hamas rulers.
