Palestinians walk passed closed shops during a general strike called by supporters of the Fatah Movement in the West Bank. Activists in the Fatah movement declared a general strike across the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank on Sunday to challenge the Islamic Hamas group's control in Gaza. The Fatah-dominated Palestine Liberation Organization called the one-day strike to protest against Hamas rule and its heavy-handed clampdown on protesters on Friday.
