RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAwire CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAwire - APAwire CLIENTS ONLY, Russia, 08 August 2023. Ka-52 helicopter crew eliminate enemy IFV in Krasny Liman direction of special military operation. STORYLINE: The Tsentr Group of Forces Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopter crew destroyed an enemy infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) by a Vikhr-M anti-tank missile in Krasny Liman direction of the special military operation zone. In the course of a combat mission, helicopter pilots received the target’s coordinates from an air observed in the front lines and destroyed Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) hardware. The pilots entered the mission area at the lowest altitude possible with terrain following, thus staying unnoticed by enemy air defence systems. The multipurpose nature of the helicopter allows to destroy single and area targets employing different types of ammunition. The engineering staff ensures round-the-clock readiness of helicopters by checking instrument readings and current state of machinery after each sortie. Footage by / APAwire
