RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAwire CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAwire - APAwire CLIENTS ONLY, Ramallah, 21 February 2022. Students from Birzeit University take part in a protest in solidarity with prisoners in Israeli jails, in the West Bank city of Ramallah. 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Tariq Barghouti, coordinator of the Progressive Student Union at Birzeit University. 0.2 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Lina Meari, President of the Syndicate of Professors and Employees of Birzeit University. Some prisoners have been held in administrative detention for up to 11 years. Palestinian detainees have continuously resorted to open-end
