RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAwire CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAwire - APAwire CLIENTS ONLY, Gaza- 28 June 2022. Sons of the Palestinian prisoners take part in a protest as they deliver the longest letter to an international organization in front of Red Cross office in Gaza city. 0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Abdullah Qandil, director of prisoners’ affairs at Wa’ed Association 0.2 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Abd al-Rahman, son of the prisoner Mخhammad Shaaban STORYLINE: Six Palestinian freedom fighters in Israeli prisons are currently on hunger strike to achieve their demands, according to the Palestinian Authority’s Detainees Affairs Commission. Currently, Israel is holding over 500 Palestinians in administrative detention, deemed illegal by international law, most of them former prisoners who spent years in prison for their resistance of the Israeli occupation. Amnesty International, has described Israel's administrative detention policy as a “cruel, unjust practice which helps maintain Israel’s system of apartheid against Palestinians. Footage by /APA
