RESTRICTION SUMMARY: APAIMages CLIENTS ONLY SHOTLIST: APAIMages - APAIMages CLIENTS ONLY, Jerusalem - 20 August 2021. Palestinian residents of the Silwan neighborhood of east Jerusalem and their supporters gather for Friday prayers in their protest tent. STORYLINE: Many of the families in Silwan are under threat of forced displacement in this east Jerusalem neighborhood coveted by Jewish settlers because of its proximity to holy sites. More than 100,000 Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem are at risk of displacement, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and around 330,000 face a lack of infrastructure and severe housing shortages because of discriminatory Israeli planning and zoning policies. Only 13 per cent of East Jerusalem is approved for Palestinians, subject to building permits, and most of these areas are already built up. Footage by / APAwire
