Palestinians take part during a protest to show their solidarity with Al-Aqsa mosque and Palestinians in the West Bank in front of high commissioner for human rights headquarters in Gaza city on Oct. 20, 2015. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will make a surprise visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories on Tuesday, in a high-profile gambit to bring an end to the month-long wave of violence that has plagued the region. The visit comes amid unrest that erupted in Jerusalem a month ago over tensions surrounding a Jerusalem holy site sacred. It soon spread to Arab neighbourhoods of east Jerusalem and then to the West Bank, Gaza and Israel. Photo by Mohammed Asad
